I got my camera from www.digitalrev.com - they're in Hong Kong, but include the expected import charges on the price - and for me, it still worked out a little bit cheaper than buying from a UK online shop! If the duty is over what you've paid, then they cover it. I was very happy with the service I think you have to log in to get the full price including shipping.
As for 'hands on', I just went into a shop beforehand for a chat with the guy and a fiddle with the camera
Good luck! _________________ Sophie

Iv bought half my cam equipment from ebay and been extremely happy with it....
If your on a budget get the D70s, (still a good camera and can get cheap bodies these days) and a better macro lens... my choice would be the Nikon 60mm macro.... I already own the Tamron 90Di myself, but find the working distance just a bit too far for my snakes (and my preference) I'm always nicking Bobz 60mm.

Still prefer the 90-105mm range for reptiles..generally the 60mm is considered better for still life, plants etc..still a cracking lens but you need to be very very close for 1.1 macro. _________________
