...at least it is here anyway. I was just wondering who's lizards are getting a bit of natural sunlight and how you do it.

Here's my beardie, Spike, I just let him run around in the yard but when a plane goes over he totally freaks out so if I hear one coming I have to grab him quick.

I would let my veiled chameleon have a bit if he weren't so dam aggressive. Last time I had to handle him to move him to a new enclosure he almost bit my finger off.

Its sunny down here, just not warm enough yet. I personally don't let any of mine out until its at least 25º. As for actually having them out, I use an old high sided paddling pool with a couple of hides if I'm in and out.

As for the plane, its normal. They think planes are predatory birds Laughing bless 'em!
Last year I had 9 BD's out in the garden with me and a friend. A plane flew over and by God did they shift... straight for us! As we were sat on the grass, they chose to us use as cover for the "hawk" flying over head!

I've been coming home at lunchtime and putting my 5 month old Rankins out in the garden with me. They are happy to sit on the picnic table thing we have out there but when any bird goes over, they really don't like it at all!

I like the idea of a high sided swimming pool so that the reptiles to run in the sun......... does any use anything else - I need to get me one so mine can go outside safely

I want to allow my beardies into the garden but am worried they'll get lost and I wont find them!

So i was thinking about using or adapting a rabbit run, has anyone used these before for their lizards in the garden?

Hey Paulk, yeah I have used this idea in the past for beardies and it seems to work well. Saying that I always tend to stick around and supervise, just incase!! Always provide them with a hide so they can get out of the sun if they want to and some water too! Smile

Talking of taking lizards out in the sun, Ben (Shrew) and I are having a "lizards tea party" tomorrow if the sun is out!!! Laughing

Will post some pics in due course! Smile
