There has been word of an imminent ban on the keeping of Primates in Scotland, if this happens then it is only a matter of time before other exotics including reptiles will be added to that ban list.

Once passed in Scotland, the UK will follow in just a short matter of time.

Yep, me neither...pretty pointless the IHS putting links in their newsletters that don't contain the info needed Rolling Eyes

Basically they are trying to raise money, buy a badge from that site and the money gets put towards a 'fighting fund'. I was hoping there was actual info on this primate ban but obviously not Rolling Eyes

Ive done a bit of a search on this and cant find anything about an imminent ban..
I have found a few references to IFAW pushing for the Scottish Executive to ban primates as pets and how they are infuriated that they havent yet had a consultation on it.

It does look like its on the way but cant find much new info Sad

Ahem ... have I missed something? I thought there was a proposed ban in the UK which was thrown out? Is there another proposal?
