There has been word of an imminent ban on the keeping of Primates in Scotland, if this happens then it is only a matter of time before other exotics including reptiles will be added to that ban list.
Once passed in Scotland, the UK will follow in just a short matter of time.

Yep, me neither...pretty pointless the IHS putting links in their newsletters that don't contain the info needed
Basically they are trying to raise money, buy a badge from that site and the money gets put towards a 'fighting fund'. I was hoping there was actual info on this primate ban but obviously not _________________

Ive done a bit of a search on this and cant find anything about an imminent ban..
I have found a few references to IFAW pushing for the Scottish Executive to ban primates as pets and how they are infuriated that they havent yet had a consultation on it.
It does look like its on the way but cant find much new info
This is what IFAW seem to be pushing for:

Ahem ... have I missed something? I thought there was a proposed ban in the UK which was thrown out? Is there another proposal? |
