Laughing @ Reeve..Paul have tried black but comes out the worst imo...granted black looks good when done in photoshop etc but black card never looks that "black" when using a flash and shadows look awful on it..was thinking of getting a ring flash but I think they make pics look flat..

Instead of black could you use different shades of gray?

Definitely got to be the green with that burm, gives good clear contrast. Nice looking burm!

well, i got to say i like the green, but blue is best. you will find blue as the background for most places that sell fish, especially marines. its because the blue brings out the colours best, and as its done on colour and not species, i would imagine it is the same for your snakes stu
