I've got around about 80 of them. What do you want to know about them ?

I'd avoid pet shops. OK a lot of breeders sell their excess stock to them so their background could be very good BUT they are selling them because they are not good enough to keep back for breeding. Also pet shop prices are way too high. They sell Standards (grey) for the sort of price you would get a mutation for from a breeder.

Have a look on my site, that should help. The link is in my sig.

All depends on the age, sex, fur quality, pet or show quality etc.

Standards normally go for about £45, and whites (either Pink White or Wilson White) can be anything from £60 to £80.

I'm cutting back on numbers at the moment. This time last year I had something like 150 chins, producing well over 100 kits. Due to the market glut I've cut back to around 40 kits with a breeding herd of 80 chins. But I do still have kits available for sale.

Where are you located ? I might know of someone close to you.

Without checking multimap not sure how far away from me you are, but I don't keep that many whites. I tend to prefer Wilson whites to Pink whites, their colour is a lot crisper.

If you ever find yourself round this way give me a shout or if you have a look in the classified section of chinchillas unlimited (easy to find with google) you might find someone nearer to you.

Avoid pet shops, way over priced.

You'd do well to get one of Bri's chins, they're fab. I breed chins as well but I don't have any whites I'm afraid. I do know someone in Somerset who had a couple of ebony white males if you're interested. He was asking £50 each.
