Lovely photos! Have you had him since he was a baby? Is he a rescue? |

Yes he's a rescue, I've had him since he was kicked out of the nest, but it was before he could fly and the parents weren't watching out for him.
Yes certainly a fantastic bird, but a right pain as well. He did love pulling the keys off the laptop keyboard, but I've mainly got him out of that now. The other day, I'd had a busy day an made myself a sandwich when I got back, no sooner had I sat down to eat it then Boris (Crow) had stolen the one straight off my plate. He then thought it was a great game to run away from me with it.
He also had a thing about hamsters, he used to try to pull them through the bars of their cages, stupid things always came up to the bars to have a good look at him though. Now they are in a different room so don't have that problem anymore.

Great bird. Does he talk at all? My Uncle kept one years ago called Phineas that used to say hello, whinnie like a horse and bark like a dog. Originally he used to fly free but ended up having too much hassle from wild corvids. So an aviary was built for him.
Before the bird`s freedom was restricted though, my Uncle had some visitors one day, ( a woman and her kids came to view a foal) and the crow swooped down and to everyones amusement and the poor woman`s horror, promptly grabbed the wig that she was wearing and took off with it! _________________ YSBRYDOLI POBL, GWELLA LLEOEDD

great photos and apparently fantastic birds to keep.
I heard a story about one that was free range but slept in an open aviary each night, one night a fox attacked it. It survived and after a few weeks was back free range and roosting in the avairy, the strange thing was the onwer would come down and find the avairy door shut each morning, thinking his wife did it, when he asked her she said no....anyway it turned out the crow had started to shut itself in at night! _________________
