Actually thinking back, I'm sure it would of worked just as well if I had routed the cable into the underside of the cage (no more water damage)....now why didn't I think of that back then... _________________

just noticed this post, did you find a more effective heating method dan?
what about tubular heaters dan they come in various sizes upto 4 ft i think
so you should be able to get a better gradient, just athought mate |

Yeah, i found a much better method. It involves a custom made ceramic heater with custom made reflector. Obviously more expensive than normal heaters but much better.
Don't ask for pictures or details etc as you won't get them!! They are part of a larger project i am working on All will become clear in time _________________ TFA
