Hi, with out doubt, a young corn snake. Preferably at least 18" so that it's big enough to take handling.
Plus you have a massive variety of colour morphs to choose from. |

i dont want some thing with huge fangs just some thing thats ideal to learn as a starter not a big costrictor.My neighbour has a rainbow boa shes nice but i dont trust it for me.How much can i get that snake for scott roughly.

you should be able to pick up a corn from £15 - £50 depending on colour morph and size. They have very small teeth and are quite unlikely to bite anyway. click on www.reptileclassifieds.co.uk and enter corn snake in the Keyword search.
I would keep away from any of the boids as a first snake.
The camera was a Canon EOS 20D with a sigma 105 macro lens. |

You could also consider a Rough-green snake. They are quick but easily hand tamed and only eat insects. I brought my son one as his first snake and he has had it years now with no problems |

hi all we have bought a anerythristiccorn snake his name is moysie cos he is kinda blue coloured.he is our first reptile. pet shop owner i chester is great help .he is a yearling so he is feeding ok we bought a 4ft viv with everything he could need to be very happy chappy. any hints or tips would be great. thanks in advance lorraine. xx |

What pet shop did you use in Chester, I went into a place called Contact Pets yesterday in Balcon and found them really helpful. Have you any other suggestions as my son is looking for a leopard gecko from Christmas. |
