I understand that if a substrate has a low ph level then it can be harmful for salamanders.

Can anyone please tell me what the safe range for ph is for salamanders?

Would also be interesting to know what ph's ranges are safe for other amphibians such as burrowing frogs, whites tree frogs and so forth. Is there a generic ph level that would suffice or would it need to be more speices specific? Or play safe and go for a midway ph level?
