Hi Jan,
Clawed Frogs are very easy to breed, drop the water level to a few inches for a couple of weeks and then flood the tank. Alternativly seperate the pair for a few weeks feed heavily and then place them back together. Both ways work well.
Most Horned Frogs are shipped in from America at the moment but there are a couple of people breeding them in the UK. I've only got the standard colour in stock at the moment but can sort you out a young CB albino they are normally around the £30-£40mark.
Also I'm planning on a breeding attempt with them later this year. _________________ Andrew Tillson-Willis

Bless you Andrew, I was hoping you'd see this post. I looked at your site last night and saw the "greeny" but it is the orange striped with the evil red eyes which I covet so will keep in touch with you.
I just have a mania for rearing things- a bad habit really but I never rear more than I know I can find good homes for- hence the axies,I would really love to breed my Xenopus, they are always in amplexus and I don't know maybe its their humanoid colouring but sometimes it all gets quite pornographic if you get what I mean!. My male is constantly making a "brrr brrr" call under the water and they amplexus quite a lot.Their tank is quite heavily planted but I am sure if she had spawned I would have seen it by now. I will follow your advice to the letter- thankyou.
love Jan |
