Hi all...

I'm getting a portable air con tomorrow, since its warming up, and I have some montane chams nowadays. I know nothing about these kind of things, does anyone know if this one will be OK for a small room?

You know the portable air con works better if you put the air pipe out the window. How big is your room? I used to have a protable one for the reptile room in the Summer and that works pretty well and makes the room pretty cool. As it has only low, medium and high temp, so the downside I have is to raise the basking light temp up for all the vivs. I have now got one that is fixed on the wall and have a remote control to adjust the air con temp, which is better. I think it's all depends on how big your room is and also you just have to play around to adjust the room temp etc.

It's a fairly small room. I can stick the pipe out the window then block off the rest of the window so I'm not air conditioning the street Laughing I think it should do the trick then. I just want it to stay reasonably warm during the day (23/24 degrees), then drop to 16ish at night. It will give me better sleep over the summer months too, as we live on the top floor and have a four year old, so really can't leave the windows open at night!
