I prefer your 1st attempt in the other post Pete, but then we all have different preferences, that one jumps out at you more. All great work. _________________ Cheers Angi

pmsl , cant win !
I prefer my first one as well but took on board fact of cast and WB.
Hardly did a thing with these and yet there overexposed , I dont get it ??
These are deff duller than the first , so struggling to see overexposure ?
deff must be more to this RAW image manipulation than I am grasping .
back to school then _________________ 3.7.0 Royals

Pete an image is easily manipulated so an over exposed one can easily be brought back from a raw file...hence why maybe ya first ones look better..RAW isn't a magical potion its more like a digital negative and tbh I think a lot of people fail to grasp the real definition of a raw file. By shooting a raw image doesn't mean great results it means a blanker canvas as it were as it gives you more control over post process..if the original image isnt the greatest its going to be difficult at best to make something out of it...

Bottom line I guess is you cant make a silk purse from a sows ear...meaning get it as near as perfect straight from the camera. TBH I do very little post process on my images as I hate doing it so anything I do adjust is minimal. Worth spending the extra time getting the image correct from the off..Its all to easy to rely on photoshop etc to try and correct things. Edit to add..what lens are you using? _________________
