At a shop near us, there is a 5 month old corn snake with this I suspect. (She is not for sale--one of the assistants is keeping her). She has a very severe kink in her spine, and they are force feeding her every single time. She is still the size of an 8 week corn, doesn't shed well and doesn't move about all that much. Some snakes are just not meant to be, and I think this one in the shop would be happier out of it personally.

Sorry to hear about your snake. Sad I really hope you find a happy solution.

There is a member of this Forum called VETDAVE I think, his web-site is Prestige Pythons. On the web-site is a 'contact us' bit where questions can be forwarded to Dave Feldmar, the vet.

Hope that this helps. All the best for the future, always sad when an animal is poorly.

Unfortunately, he just got worse and worse. He wasn't eating, his movements were sluggish, he was practically blind as he had several months eye cap build up.

I had to have him put to sleep this morning. I'm gutted, and it broke my heart to do it, but I couldn't see him like that anymore. I'd tried pretty much everything to help him through, but it was really a hiding to nothing.

Thank you all so much for your help, I can't say how much I appreciate it. If I decide to get another snake, which is more than likely, I'm going to make sure I know the history before getting it. I couldn't bear losing another...
