They are very shy iguanas. They are not aggressive usually and will often just run off. All mine are very handlable though and they all fall over themselves to be hand fed locus. They do need time on their own though as I have found they do better with feeding and breeding etc.

The male is gorgeous!!!
I personally don't like banded females. I like the females like they are. A nice emerald green. But that's just a personal feeling.
Can you tell a little about how you are housing them? Everyone keeps telling me to keep them in pairs and that it is impossible to house more then a pair together and housing a Fiji solitary and then introducing another Fiji is almost always a complete disaster. How do you do it? |

I house 1 male and at the moment 3 females. You can NOT keep more than 1 one male together and probably not more than a pair. I have been lucky with mine as none are really that dominant. You have to take the females out when they are gravid as they will fight. Also I keep them in a 6ft x 3ft x 3ft viv. Lots of space, LOTS of branches and lots of cover. They are able to keep out each others way. Introduction is done at night when they are asleep but close monitoring is certainly needed.

Ok, thanks.
That's about the same size of viv my pair is in. I gonna keep them as a pair, but was curious how you were doing it.
Is there a dominant female in your group or are the females just ignoring each other? |

No dominant female in there but they become dominant as they get gravid so I have a spare viv for that.
