I think this is the caresheet I got it from, though I think I saw it on another as well...
http://www.reptileparadise.com/cs_sandfish.htm
It says at the bottom:
"Reproduction: Ovoviviparous"
And then a link to what Ovoviviparous means:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ovoviviparity
Now I've read the Wiki link again though, I'm not sure exactly what it means, but maybe something similar to live birth or laying just before hatching?

Well they began mating 10th July, and it was very apparent they were mating and they are in a busy room so quite hard to miss really. _________________ www.rickslivefood.co.uk

Screamed like a good un
My guess is they either dried up, still had some liquid in them but were very misshapen and had begun to go crusty, or mealworms in the substrate had got at them. What to be done though, cant go sifting through 25kg of sand everyday. _________________ www.rickslivefood.co.uk
