This snake is a product of a Banana California Kingsnake & Pueblan Milksnake bred together. Notice the wide black stripe on the back. This is crucial to producing Painted Kings. A clutch of 50/50 crosses produce a variety of patterns. Thick black stripes on top is what was bred to a pure Pueblan Milksnake to produce Painted Kings, which are 75% Pueblan 25% California Kingsnake.

this was then mated back to a pure pueblen, end result was the painted king.
