what do you lot use for your basking bulbs? witch type do you find most reliable ? mine just pop within a month or so looking for a bulb that will last thanks ppl lee |

I use those bulbs for my Yemens and baby monitors, I would use for all if they could be controlled via a dimming thermostat (but they can't). They get very hot, so I can only use them in screen top vivs (heat needs to escape). _________________

I use powersuns but find that they give up after a few months!! forever returning them as they have a years guarantee..but still a pain in the butt |

these bulbs was very expensive it cost me 40 quid i hope it dont blow after a few months i will be gutted |

Apparantly, if the Powersun's bulb holder is plugged into a extension lead with other bulbs etc.... This can cause the bulb to blow. So make sure that it is plugged dirctly into the wall socket and not into an extension lead.
Also never wire these up to a thermostat. |
