Hi everyone,
I'm Tara. Just a msg to introduce Ren, Stimpy and me!!!
I'm sure i will need your advise on things from time to time as I'm new at keeping cresties...I have had them for a couple of months now and at first i had them in the same viv but then had to separate them due to Ren treading on Stimpys head and dominating him/her in general.
I was wondering how quickly they grow as mine are really tiny still ?
Do they look healthy?
Anyway heres some piccies, Soz about the quality!
Any tips are welcome
Thanks guys

Hey, welcome to the forum!! And nice looking cresties
Do you know their ages? Spud went through a big growth spurt at the 5/6month mark.. Biscuit hasn't grown much yet but she's only young. My sister just commented last night actually about her not seeming to have grown at all! Yours look healthy though so I shouldnt worry too much, I've been told they grow in their own time! _________________

Sorry Stuart : i will make sure i resize them to the right size next time...Thanks
Thanks Dan - was hoping to hear that they look normal. They change there colours soo much, it fasinates me. One minute they are soo pale and the next they go really green or orange or rustic browns. Its so cool. .
Does anyone know if there colours stabalise over time or do they stay like that? |

They will tend to change colours and patterns when they are younger, but they will eventually have one pattern and colour that sticks with them (Though the colour will change through night and day).
And yep, they look like nice, healthy cresteds _________________ 1.1.1 Crested Geckos

I think they are about 3/4 months old but i'm not totally sure to be honest. so if that is the case hopefully they will go through a growth spurt like you said as i think i will feel more confident in handeling them. I guess they are all different so they will most probally take different times.. How old are your sisters out of interest??
Thanks |

Not sure you could call it a tiger just yet as it is so young, but agreed they are lovely lil fellas/ladies! _________________ [3.2.6 R.Ciliatus|1.4.7 R.Auriculatus

Thanks ben, I think they both have a tiger pattern on them, thats pretty concistant its the colours that are soo varied, the orange one also goes very green. I do hope they keep there tiger patten, however stimpy has black dots all over him aswell which i am worried about. I cant remember him having them and i dont think he is a dalmation. |

one of my hatchlings didnt get spots untill like 2 months, then after 3-4 they went down, and now she is an adult cream dalmatian, absolutely covered with some massive spots, thats good news bout the tiger stripes, i hope they stay! i have two babies with stripes aswell, lets keep our fingers crossed!! _________________ [3.2.6 R.Ciliatus|1.4.7 R.Auriculatus
