jus by the small pic (sorry its too late for me to sit reading! haha) it looks like you will need a bit more ventilation, but that isnt hard to do, but thing i found, even with good quality wooden vivs is after a while in the humidity, the wood starts to peel, warp, and even rot in some places. in my eyes you cant go wrong with the Exo Terra terrariums, they hold humidity great, good ventilation, lots of cool access points for wires etc, raised for heatmats if u want em. AND they have a newer size which is 60CM high 60CM wide and 45CM deep. its all ive ever used for cresteds and love em! lol, enough of the unpaid advertising now,but on a serious note, i wouldnt personally go for wood with animals that like humid enviroments. Looking at them again the dimensions are ideal though, so its up to you really, but to answer your question, yeh theyre "ok" for cresties. but i wouldnt personally use em. _________________ [3.2.6 R.Ciliatus|1.4.7 R.Auriculatus

I'll second Ben_gecko's recommendation for the Exo Terra or a similar type of tank. In my experience I have found them to be perfect for keeping crested geckos. The wooden vivs do tend to peel with the humidity needed for them so will end up costing you more in the long run as you'll end up needing to replace it. _________________

I agree with Geordie girl and Ben, the humidity you need for a crstie will ultimately ruin the wood with repeated sprayings. An example is a kitchen unit under a sink. it always gets wet, and they are usually the only unit to start to rot.
Exo terra's are fantastic for anything that requires water or a sparayin. _________________ Custom made vivs to your requirements. Pm me or email to qualityvivs@hotmail.co.uk |

yup i 3rd that argument, wood = bad option for high humidity species, wont last very long!

ooo and also i was speaking to somebody on a different server who has 1 of these and said aslong as you seal all edges and sides with sealant they hold out for a while, hes had his crested in 1 made the same way for just over a year and he said minus minor chips on the outside from his own doing itsbeen more than perfect. but he said i also can buy sheets of glass to line the inside with and stick them to the inside like a inner shell kinda thing and that works just aswell |

lol if your going to mess about with sheets of glass inside it etc, you might aswell pay the extra penny (if that isnt already more exspensive) and get an exo lol, for what they are i think they are very well priced. but if your looking for alternatives and want more space etc. why not get an old fish tank, put it on one side, and attach a mesh door to the top?? jus an idea. would have to be mesh though, as thatd be the only source of ventilation, pnly thing i found is you dont get the air passing through if you know what i mean. _________________ [3.2.6 R.Ciliatus|1.4.7 R.Auriculatus
