I need a pair of large wide-mouthed snake hooks to handle large Bitis. I have the wire type but I really need the hooks to be about 2" deep to better support the weight.
I had a metal workshop do me some but there a bit naff so I've had to use an American company called Midwest who make a variety of hooks and the product of theirs called Python Hooks fit the bill perfectly.
But....before I pay the outrageous shipping fees does anyone know of any where in the UK who could supply me with said items?
Thankyou _________________ You can't trust the snake......but you can always trust the snake to be a snake. |

I googled snake hooks and hit pages from UK only |
Yeah thanks but I have those in different sizes Its the hook itself, it needs to be flat based 2" deep not wire. _________________ You can't trust the snake......but you can always trust the snake to be a snake. |

You should have asked Richard, I'm sure glades would have brought him a few hooks down to Hamm. They probably will on the next european show they do.If not then I think he knows someone else who orders as few in.
Rich certainly likes the midwest stuff, he uses a pair of their grabs that I got off ebay as a bargain, much prefers them to other grabs for the kings.

Thanks, I tried them and they have standard hooks also
This is more like what I need. They're 55" long and have a wider base to the hook....

Good idea. I'll have a little chat with him when I visit Shropshire. _________________ You can't trust the snake......but you can always trust the snake to be a snake. |

Thanks for the offer I have tongs in two sizes but I don't use them on my snakes directly prefering to remove cage furniture with them instead!
What I really need is a pair of large sturdy yet reasonably leightweight Hooks to handle a large Gaboon Viper. _________________ You can't trust the snake......but you can always trust the snake to be a snake. |
