Yup a location and what you're after would help.
A few to get going with...
Prestwick Main Street - 2 shops very close together (can't remember which stocks reptiles). Your typical advert for the RSPCA, reptiles kept in pretty horrendous conditions, some shocking advice handed out..I'd suggest avoiding it.
Neon Gecko (Paisley) - Has a pretty bad reputation, but since it's been taken over it seems to have improved a bit. Prices are typical of Scotland, 65 notes for a hatchling classic corn.
Paisley Pet Centre - I'd avoid this place like the plague. Most of the stock is on very shoddy.
Barracuda (gallowgate) - Not the best place in the world, pricey but at least most of their stock seems CB. Not fully sure if it's still open though.
Parkhead Forge - Again not the best of places. Stock seems ok, but a lot of their advice should be ignored.
Olympia arcade (East Kilbride) - I know the owner of this place so I'll try and be unbiased. For the most part the stock seems all right, but saying that I have seen some dodgy animals too. Prices are quite steep. The owner has some good knowledge, but the girls he employs aren't the best for asking advice from.
Rintouls (Bathgate) - Some excellent stock, but his prices are a bit steep.
There's also some excellent private breeders based in Scotland, so if you let us know what you're after that should help. _________________

The place in the Barras is now owned by Neon Gecko, and branded as Neon Gecko. We went in just before Christmas, they were still setting up, but it looked quite bright. They've moved all the animals into the back room that the vivs for sale were in before, so looks like there'll be space for a lot more stock in there once it's finished.
I really like the shop in EK. It is clean and not cluttered, and the animals always seem clean and well looked after. Prices are typical pet shop prices, but when I bought a corn there I was quite closely questioned on husbandry before they let me take it away, which I liked. Would probably go bankrupt buying mice from there mind you! |

I've been told that Border Exotics is a pretty good shop, with some interesting animals (Gaboon Viper?), although I've not been myself.
It's in Galashiels/Melrose, which is probably absolutely no use to you at all from Stranraer. |
