In fairness, I also had 19 wrong. I'm glad though that I was beaten since I wasn't eligible to win the prize anyway, I was just enjoying the challenge (Congrats "Just A Beginner"). I definitely can believe no. 6 but I still have a difficult time believing no. 15. Will you post larger pictures cause I'd love to see why I just can't seem to see that one? I only changed my answer to it at all because looking at the numbers I was getting correct next to other's and their answers, I didn't see a way around that being right. Anyway, good quiz, I look forward to the next.

Chris

Woohoo! Laughing I enjoyed that, I like picture quizzes! I never thought I'd win an id quiz, I'm well chuffed. You should definately run another Scott, 8 pages and how many weeks? Lol, I've got a few suggestions from my explorations if you do Wink. I've learned loads hunting out these reptiles and amphibs. Hellbenders are more cute than I rembered Razz

To be fair;
I used google alot.
I would never have had 1, 2 or 12 without Chris, I was looking in all the wrong places!
5 & 10 I only got because of Scott's hints.
I got 3 amphibs near enough myself (Shocked) but I have KJ to thank for 13 and esp 14 (which I was convinced was a terrapin Embarassed Rolling Eyes).

I'll pm you in a sec Scott, but could you post the original picture of 15 please? I can kinda see it but not well Very Happy

Well done everyone! Not an easy ID quiz.

Hi Chris, here's the photo and link to the source, just hope it is a Amblyrhynchus cristatus from Hispaniola Island Galapagos, like the photo say's it is Embarassed Laughing

I'll try and get another one done soon, I'll do bigger photos but perhaps with a distortion of some sort.

Thanks, got the pm.

Yep that certainly was about the hardest quiz on here (close to the ball python quiz maybe).

I must admit I was suprised by how quick some were identified but not others.

Glad you all enjoyed it. When I get the time I will try and post up all the original photos...trouble is I saved them all over my computer Embarassed will take ages to track them all down Laughing

Wahoooo!!!! Well done Just a Beginner. I was struggling with number 10, 11 and 15.

All of my other answers were right except number 9 - I thought it was Uma rufopunctata not inornata. Ah well there's always next time.

Well done bud and enjoy your prize. Very Happy

My prize arrived today!

It's the 2nd (2006) edition so it is chok full of full colour photos, about 5-7 per double page spread.

I've only had the opportunity to have quick flicks though so far, but it is incredibly thorough. Way more than I was expecting, this is a top-quality prize! Its amazing.

Thanks everyone!
