Locust Eggs – Why won’t they hatch?

I am trying to breed locusts for the first time. My locusts are now successfully laying eggs, not in the margarine tub full of sandy soil I have provided, but anyway they feel like. I have been removing the eggs and placing them into a small well ventilated container containing about 20 mm of dry sandy soil. The tub is on top of a heat mat. I have partially buried the eggs. Some eggs have been there for 3 weeks with no sign of any change.

What am I doing wrong?

Thanks

The soil in the egg tubs must be 10cm deep at least to start with and the soil musn`t dry right out. Also if you have the egg tub sitting directly on top of a heat mat then you probably cooked them. Have a read of this thread Wink
