Hi there, I was wondering if anybody had any experience with shinisaurus Crocodilurus aka The Chinese Crocodile lizards, as I am very interested in purchasing a captive bred baby that I have seen for sale, I trust the person I am buying it off of as he has had a single specimen in the shop for a very long time and his knowledge is off the roof, but I would like to know if anybody else has kept these wonderful creatures, Thanxs |

hi,
lovely lizards, never actually kept any myself but believe they require quite cool conditions. They have been bred a few times in captivity, I did have a really good article on them, I'll see if I can find it (or even remember who wrote it).
good luck if you go ahead with it, post up some photos and observations about it. |

Reasonably hard to get healthy WC specimens in captivity I think, having only seen a couple at the most and they were not amazing. Never seen any captive bred/hatched ones, very nice lizards though and as Scott says they like to be kept cool. Good luck if you to get some, would love to see some pictures |

Hi to all, thanks for the response
Im going to pick the little croc lizard up 2moro, as soon as i get some photos i will post them, I just think these lizards are amazing, I tell u what though i picked up a trio of baby helmeted geckos the other day and an albino honduran milk snake, these geckos are wicked, they are always out and about and feed like me monitors jumping all over the place with excitement, the honduran is quite skittish though but hopefully grow out of it. |

Elo mate, I will be getting it from Cold Blooded in Rainham hopefully, coz he brought CB Babies from germany I think and they were all feeding well and over two days he lost two of them so hes gonna hold on to the little one for a little longer to make sure he thrives, I will def post pics of him if I do get him he is a proper cool little lizard |

It was up for about £450, but the geezer in cold blooded(Paul) is a good friend of mine now so he usually sorts out a good price for me |
