I have a juvenile peublan (never sexed) and whilst it has always been fairly secretive as they can be, and musking etc when picked up at the moment and for the last two or three weeks he/she has been constantly probing around the lid of the tank etc....
Usually as it sees my hand appear it will dart into one of the hides or just slither off but cant believe how active it is....
I know come spring time snakes can act a bit odd as they "search" for a partner but is there any sortt of explanation I can put this down too??
Nothing in way of live rodent or other reptile near by which it can pick a scent up of....... _________________ I didnt do it. |

Thanks for advice - had already checked that though with a thermometer to make sure the stat was working properly.
It seemed to be behaving like when it can smell prey..... Strangely enough just due to a clean out he seems to have stopped doing it now.....wonder if the kitchen towel was mouse scented _________________ I didnt do it. |
