Being a Hamm novice can anyone please advise:

Any recommendations for where to stay to attend the Hamm show in September?

I will be driving over and wondered if you could tell me the cheapest way to get over there please? I live in Kent not far from the Dover Docks. There will be four of us going in my waggon.

Also what is the best day to visit the show? Do they have a bargain day towards the end of the show?

Do you have to book in advance to go to the show, or just pay at the door?

Any web links to any of the above please?

Any tips or advice greatly appreciated, thank you.

Drive through the tunnel, go Friday, come back Sunday. You pay for the vehicle not number of passengers (about £65 each way)

Drive up through France, Belgium, Holland then into Germany, can't remember how many miles but reckon about 450'ish.

Try any hotel in Hamm, most will be fully booked for those dates already Wink

Hamm show is ONLY on the Saturday, bargains can be had towards the end of the day.

You can only pay on the door and be prepared for a LONG que unless you start queing 2 hours before it opens!

I can not recommend any hotel, because I go by touristclass-bus and am not spending the night there..
