Apologies if anyone has read this post on another forum - I need some input and am hoping someone can help!

Does anyone know where the azygous scales would be located on a snake? I've googled it but no joy.

I am planning on buying a spcies of hog which is hard to differentiate from the common western and apparently azygous scale counts are the best way to tell. Any ideas?

I know azygous means without a pair or unpaired but that hasn't made things any clearer Confused

Lol sorry mate - was in a rush.

They're small scales immediately behind the rostral scales apparently, not present in all species (ratsnakes don't have them for example) - hopefully my mexican hognose will have the correct scale count Cool
