im thinking about sell my texas rat snake because i just cant get on with him im terrified of him he has never bitten but the thought of him bitting me scares me to death i shake soo much when feeding him you wouldnt believe and because of this he doesnt get held much unless my dad wants to hold him. hes a great snake and i no id miss him but i just dont want to be creul to him by not giving him the life he should have. so what do you think? all comments welcome

If he really scares you that much, then yes. But try holding him with thick
gardening gloves, he will get used to you, and they can become very tame. If you can conquer your fear, I'm sure you would enjoy him. _________________

I have to ask something.
You do know that he doesn't actually like to be held right?
He's not missing out on anything if you have him in a good viv - with or without handling.
You need to make a decision, is he good looking enough to keep for looking at or does he have to be a pet. Once you figure that out you'll know whether to sell him or not _________________ TFA

yes i no he doesnt need to be handled i just feel creul not doing it lol im mad i no im thinking i will keep him as he is a great little things and does make me laugh his viv is a touch on the small side but am currently biulding him a bigger one. but he is loved!!!

It's easy to think of reptiles the same as cats and dogs but they don't actually need any human interaction, a lot prefer not to have any, others tolerate it and some people say there animals look forward to it. It is nice to be able to handle your pets and there certainly isn't any harm if you do so long as they don't go off food and try to defend themselves (a sign of stress). _________________
