Bought some doormice back in March, left them alone since then (other than feeding etc) then whilst checking the incubator this morning I found one sitting on the floor. When I put it back in the cage I found that it wasn't an adult that had escaped but one of 5 babies that had grown up.

Cool, do they stand at the front door in big black coats with funny earpieces in, looking menacing and saying things like "You can't come in with trainers on mate", "Nah, we're full..stand back a minute please sir......step on through ladies.....look mate I told you we're full"?

(sorry being pedantic, tis Dormice)

Great news Scott, I'm becoming more and more interested in 'exotic' mammals too. Are they edible dormice? Or another species?

Come on Scott spill the beans (as long as the beans do not come from tescos).

Firstly please post pics of the DOURMICE
Secondly are they pets?
Thirdly can I buy a couple of babies of you?
What other secret animals have you got that we don't know about?
Hows the bleached chameleons doing?

They are 'pets', so no they won't end up in the freezer Very Happy

Yes Ricky Roo, you can buy them, actually I am planning on selling the group.

The bleached Yeman is doing great, almost ready to breed.

Can't think of what else I may have that you don't know about Rick, but I'm sure there's a few bits Wink Cool

lol....I think my Dormice are better educated Wink (unlike me who put doormice Embarassed )

I think they are an African species, not had chance to look them up though.
