Tried taking a photo tonight of a gila sleeping on it's back. The first time I ever saw this I thought I had a dead gila on my hands but they all seem to do it at different times when sleeping.
The photos not great as when I open the cage, they quickly try and right themselves up.

it is quite strange that they do this, really does make you worry when you see a few flat on their backs
I have heard this from other gila keepers too, so it does seem like natural behaviour. _________________

You should of waited for this "natural behaviour" to happen before you let it lay down on my knee for a foto shoot _________________ I can speak THREE languages...but English ain't one of them! |

You are lucky because it's still alive. I've got so much poison in my blood ... _________________ I can speak THREE languages...but English ain't one of them! |
