They are cute but I still prefer your whites.
And by the way, why do they call them whites when they are GREEN???
They are green right? Or do I need to make an appointment to have my eye checked?

They are called Whites tree frogs, not white tree frogs, and green tree frogs have already been taken by another species. Laughing

Why they're called whites, I don't know, maybe a guy called Mr. White discovered them....

I like these little froggies. Very Happy

MEMEMEMEMEME , You are right they are named Whites, Litoria Caerulea, White was the name of the guy who first formally described them.

They are named after John White who was the surgeon general on the first ship of convicts sent to Australia. You can read the first account of the White's Treefrog, Litoria caerulea (then named Blue Frog, Rana caerulea) in his Journal of a Voyage to New South Wales, the book also includes a colour plate of the species. You can read the Journal here: http://gutenberg.net.au/ebooks03/0301531h.html
