Hi, what a fantastic idea and good use of an old viv - it's starting to look great. I love the idea of putting the perspex in there for water-proofing. I am half-way through building a new 7ft x 3ft x 3ft viv for when my Bosc gets bigger and was wondering what to line the MDF built viv with. I was thinking of using Bituminous paint, which I have used outside before to waterproof brick walls etc, but was worried about the safety aspect and how it may effect the wood. This may be the perfect solution. Can I ask you where you got the perspex from and how much it cost? I think I will have to do a bit of googling!!
Congrats though, can't wait to see it again when it is finished, furnished and lived in.
regards, Paul. _________________ 1.2.0 Bearded Dragons

cheers guys, the perspex was from B&Q in total the perspex cost £70-£80 i bought the 5mm and 10mm easy cut as the thicker perspex is brittle and splinters around the edge when cutting with a jigsaw, if you take the measurements of your Viv you can get the perspex cut to fit for an extra cost, I'm not to sure how much extra though _________________ Word ta big bird!! |
