I would like to buy some more lenses for my CANON 450D. I have CANON EFS 18-55 lens and I would like to get something like 80-300 and also macro.
I you can give me some advice about lenses (not top price class).

At the moment my favourite for the macro is:
TAMRON SP AF 90 mm 2,8 Di Macro 1:1 (what do you think about it???)

Cool The tamron is a cracking lens..I use one and would never part with it.
The canon 70-300mm IS has some great reviews and I know a guy that uses one to good effect.. Cool

I think the Tamron won't dissapoint you!
Don't know how it is for 'normal' shots though...

The Tamron macro is a great lens, gets good reviews everywhere. I use the Canon 70-300 IS and like it a lot. Reviews are good, its not that expensive and I like the pics I get.

I use the 75-300mm canon lens, which is ok.
I'm also thinking about getting the tamron 90mm.... Just because the macro photos I've seen from people using this lens just blow you away. (the canon 18-55mm len is not really that good)

I have the Tamron 70-300mm F4/5.6 DI LD Macro for the Canon 450d but only had it a few weeks so not had a chance to play with it yet. Its a bit wierd having to be so far back from the subject to photograph in Macro

Would this type of lense be good for landscape shots stu?

Going to pop over Brynamman way tomorrow to take some shots over the Black Mountains valley. driving through them the other day at around 5pm and the landscape looked incredible with the shadowing cast over the hills.

Also drove through Snowdonia with work and was gutted didnt have the camera as the slate moutain side with reservoir in Blaenau Ffestiniog was stunning.

Does anyone keep their camera in the boot of their car for impromptu shots? Guess there is a risk its gonna get nicked though

Thats not really a true macro lens mate..all it does is focus a bit closer..not really wide enough either for a good landscape lens tbh.

Ah right.....why does it have the LD Macro 1:2 on the box then? Is it just a marketing ploy? Or just not a very good macro lense?

What sort of zoom lense is ideal for wide landscape shots in a budget range?

Cheers
