bad choice for your first monitor your gunna need a big tank very soon these guys growth rate is crazy its small and cute now in 6 months that little lizard can be up and over 3ft and with a bite that can take chunks out of your hand.... your gunna need a big enclosure or a room to house it
good luck.... _________________ Word ta big bird!! |

Well said Patrick, good for you. As most of us that frequent this forum consider ourselves responsible pet owners, I am sure that you have done your homework and worked out what to expect with any new reptile.
I am about to pick up a new Savanna (Bosc) Monitor today, but what most won't know is that I have spent the best part of 6 months researching them and building new enclosures!!
Good luck with this great looking animal!!
regards, Paul. _________________ 1.2.0 Bearded Dragons

Very cute baby Patrick! Have a look at some of the threads on the monitor forum for some housing ideas. _________________

A lot of the American sites have good Nile enclosure pics and husbandry info, such as Kingsnake.com and Repticzone.com, as well as Varanus.net and Varanus.nl. _________________
