Has anyone used both the exo terra and the zoo med glass arboreal enclosures (these are the zoo med ones if you hadn't seen them http://www.petsolutions.com/Zoo-Med-Naturalistic-Terrariums+I97609101.aspx)
as they look pretty much exactly the same but the zoo med is more expensive and has one door not 2. Any opinions on them? _________________ Tom

I prefer the exoterra as they have 2 doors and the venting system is better than the zoomed plus I dont like copy cats _________________ Paul

Never used the zoomed ones, but I have 4 Exo Terras which I use for everything from snakes to geckos to amphibs, and I love 'em. They're simple, easy to clean, and as Paul said, the ventilation is good. _________________

For what it's worth, I rather like my Exo-Terra... I'm actually currently using it for my female Yemen until I've got her a flexarium... reason being we had it for some tree frogs but I found it wasn't ideal for holding the humidity I needed the way we had it set up so it was abandoned... then my cham showed up (as a rescue) so we popped her in there temporarily but she's thriving in there at the moment. She'll have outgrown it very soon though.
Either way, cleaning it is a piece of 'wee', the ventilation is good, the doors are great (including the cool little latch thing that locks them closed) and it's pretty to look at which is always a bonus. I think I'd still prefer it over the Zoo Med as the fact the doors open outwards means you need to have a pretty clear space around it to allow full movement and the Exo-Terra, being that it has 2 doors rather than one twice the size, is a bit less awkward and cumbersome when opening and closing. I think the doors add to the decent ventilation as well because they aren't airtight so it slightly increases airflow throughout the tank thus helping keep the air fresh and not stale. _________________ http://www.iherp.com/tea

I don't have the Zoo Med ones but did have a good look at them in Hamm and was very impressed.
I like the one door, I prefer the build quailty. You can see they have looked at the current exo terra and just tweaked it enough to make it better.
I don't think availability is good in the UK but the rest of Europe seems to sell them. _________________
