Tom, you got to look on the bright side of this. You will have a male with a harem of girls, you now know how to set up a home incubator, and next year will be here before you know it. Wink Feed them up, brummate them and then light the fuse and stand well back..... Laughing

It seems to me that you had not really considered breeding them - hey, now you have... Cool

Sue

lol. they are all very good points.

How do you brumate them? do you just turn off the heating for a few weeks?

i had considered breeding them thats why i housed the m,ale and female together, but nothing ever happened, and now i know why lol.

I could breed the carolina (the one that i thought was male) this year couldn't i?

If you have read Kathy's book then you know how to brummate. Cool My snakes usually tell me when they want to brummate by refusing food - no corns mind. Make sure that they have not eaten for a couple of weeks before turning off the lights and heating. This will clear the guts, otherwise food would rot in their tummys in the cold. If in your room do not worry about a bit of light, just cover over the viv, and you put on an extra sweat-shirt Wink Not sure how long to brummate corns, look in the book, then warm up, feed like mad ( male may not eat ) for a few weeks put them together and bingo Rolling Eyes

i forgot to update this last week she ate last wednesday!! for the first time since the 29th April.

oh and she is now in shed, so going by the rule, she should lay in 7 to 10 days, even though they are infertile Sad i am still happy, because now i know she will breed which is awesome.
