Has anyone got one of those exoterra light units? the type you can put two uv srips in, on the exo terra website they say you shud use the correct uv bulb for your animal and always use the exo terra reptiglo 2.0 in combination with that, i have done so, fitted reflectors aswell and it is to bright in my opinion , i have taken the reflectors off on the reptiglo 2.0 bulb and it is very bright, given most bd's are given just a basking light and one uv strip wud useing the exo terra system do any damadge ? any ideas, experience ?
Cheers

I don't think for a diurnal lizard which comes from desert areas, you could get it too bright. Most peoples set ups are way too dark. I always use a daylight tube as well as a uv tube.

I have one of the Exo Terra 'Dual Tops.'
However, I two 5.0 bulbs in atm.

Am looking to change that soon to one 5.0 and one 2.0 as apparently the 2.0 bulbs are better for plant growth???

I don't find mine overly bright as it is, will let you know if that changes when I get round to swapping the other bulb.

I can't see how it could cause any damage to the inhabitants either way tho...
