Hi All

Ive been speaking to Karen via pm and i said i would post pics and ask for further advice.

The problem is my chameleons eyes have swollen up, it started last night. We have recently moved her and her sister from a 4ft wood viv to a new aluminum mesh 4ft viv, the setup was the same, except i used a compact 10% uv. Temps have stayed the same at 90. I dust with calcium and vits every feed, but have been advised to drop the vits to once a week which i shall do. Ive also bought a tube and got rid of the compact. Her sister is fine, i seperated the poorly one out last night and put her back in the wood viv as I still had this set up.

I will get her to the vets tomorrow as my local rep vet was not available today.

Has anyone got any ideas to what would have caused this?

Thanks

Alison

Ive sat next to her viv nearly all day!!

She has had a good drink but hasn't eaten, but I really didn't expect her to. Ive put the drops in that I got from my rep shop and i'll get her to the vets tomorrow.

I noticed it looks bloodshot in the photo, but it doesn't show up in real life, if you know what I mean!!

She looks really miserable, its lights off now, hopefully she might feel better in the morning.

Having the lights off will ease her eyes a bit, you must let us know what the vet says. It almost looks like fluid filling the socket doesnt it?

It feels fluidy to touch, bless her. I can tell she is poorly because i can pick her up, i cant normally get near her without her hissing at me!!

I will post as soon as i get back from the vets.

Thanks Karen.

Yes, its a sort of a white crust covering her nostril. I couldnt pick it up on the camara. I cleared some of it with a cotton bud, didn't want to poke about too much.

Sometimes that can be caused by to many vits, but i just thought maybe sinus bother, as eyes ears and noses are all connected, just stabbing about in the dark really, wish i could be of more help Confused
