Nice collection, looks like the water dragons have settled in well looking at the numbers, do you pull all the eggs or leave to naturally incubate on most of them. The Basilisk enclosure sounds a bit of a challenge how are you going to recreate the tropical enviroment, a partially enclosed pond area maybe? Look forward to seeing more pics of the enclosures. _________________ www.Reptilebreeder.co.uk

"Mr Parrot" thanks for the link. I enjoyed the pics very much. Very impressive pics especially considering these are small wild animals. It was great to see some heathland too. I Really enjoyed spending sometime myself, around the Poole- Dorset area, in the heaths there.
Bri. Yes I am on that forum too. A shame it isn't as active as this one.
Jas. The basilisks will be fine here. If the enclosure is covered on cool nights, and if I have enough stone work/ water to act as a thermal mass, to store the daytime heat, then they should be ok. They will have to go back indoors in the autumn. I try to find all the eggs, but I have had water dragon eggs hatch in the enclosures too. Its a good sign the climate is right. I only have had three clutches of AWD eggs so far, one clutch was 100 % duff, but I confident most if not all of the other two clutches will hatch
I was right, I did forget some animals in the first list.
also
Testudo ibera
Uromastyx acanthinurus
and lastly Sauromelas obesus |
