Paul G

It seems to be a mixed bag the first fertile clutch my female laid when with her previous owner i believe was 1 fertile 2 infertile eggs the second clutch 5 fertile the next three infertile after that 5 eggs 3 fertile 2 infertile and a clutch just laid 3 looking fertile due august.
It seems 3 to 5 is common laying 2 maybe 3 clutches a year with only one being fertile, I have now had 2 fertile clutches in a year but will not being doing this again as i believe the female and male need a break in order to produce a large fertile clutch once a year but this is not proven by myself yet, the only reason this happened this year is i thought lowering the temp would cool the male down no chance he had is own way of generating more heat which is where the second fertile clutch came from.

cheers Wayne
