I went out to look for adders for the first time in my life. I've always wanted to find some in the wild and this time I persuaded a friend to come with me. Took us a while, but we found 4 adders and quite a few lizards (Lacerta agilis). Funny thing is we found all 4 adders within 10 minutes of one another and no other ones the rest of the time, even in very similar habitat.
Only managed to photograph one, the rest moved away very fast

A pair of sand lizards

Thanks guys. It was so cool to see adders in the wild, there is just something about finding snakes in the wild. I've seen and caught quite a few in other countries, but not in the Netherlands. And these adders were really really pretty.

Great images and one of my life long favourite past times, watching herps in the wild. Cool
