certainly with the locusts I have seen this a few times.
no idea what causes is but I have seen a population of several thousand drop to just a handful in a matter of days, seemed to happen every few months.
One theory was that they hit an imbreeding threshold, but to be honest I really dont know... they do however require hot temps, clean food (any yellowing on greens is a no no) and good air flow if possible. |
