Thanks for all the comments, I will continue to keep you all updated with the build. Need to finish it soon, as I can't cope with staying up till 1am working on it much longer

Over the last week or so, between working 16hr days I've managed to get a lot more don on the viv.

Covered the wall with grout/cement to build it up and shape a little

I left it all to dry before covering the wall in a 1.1.1 mix of water/pva/cement

Finally I've finally started to paint the viv with masonry paint

I have painted the wall black and the inside of the viv in magnolia and I'm going to finish the outside with white (lucky a mates dad works in the trade and had it going spare).

Looks good. My suggestion, cover the walls in pva / sand mix. Will look more realisitic, pleasing to the eye, and more natural for the animal.

This is how I did my Leos viv. The BG is VERY thin in my tank, as front to back is quite shallow, but same principal with your shelved background.

I like your wall, I'm still toying with the idea off sand on the wall but a little unsure. How do you find it to clean?

I spot clean my leos viv. If do a proper clean, all sand is removed, whole tank anti-bact sprayed, then wiped with HOT water, steams itself dry. All is good!

I've finally finished painting the viv this weekend, I've spent the day sealing the edges and wiring in the lighting and heating.

Custom bracket for the heat lamps

Just need to mesh the vent and fit the glass front, tho I've gotta wait for a friend to help me move it tomrrow
