Was this the melanistic?
Are any of the babies melanistic?

I assume it was from the melanistic male as they were basking together back in early feb and since then in my viv.
I cant be to sure though.
The babies look like normal commons at the moment, dark coppery brown with tiny occellus and a blue/green tinge to the tail in natural light and in the viv, cant catch it in a photo though?  have to wait until they've grown on a bit.

Many new born CL's are either black or all but black. It allows then to heat up very fast.
They can start changing colour in a matter of weeks.

They've been feeding for the first time today on 4-5mm crickets.

Nothing prepared, its just a two an a half foot tank sharing a tube with some of my mantids, a basking spot (60w), sifted top soil substrate and some fine heathland grass n bark for cover.
They tunnel through the substrate nicely and are very active, engaging lizards imo.
