Hi guys and Girls,,my dragon is 7 months old and i am still not sure about his eating.
at the moment i am putting two small locust in there in the morning, then 2 more at nght, with veg in between these two sessions.when i put the first feed in,they are gone in seconds, then he will have a bit of veg, then latter when he has the second feed, they are also gone in seconds,it just feels like he wants more, and hasn't hade enough,am i doing this right,he is very active, and seems fine in himslf. infact he has just done a runny stool is this good

your right with your guess, if he takes the food in seconds each time then it's showing you that he wants more each feed.

I throw a handfull of food in with my dragons, they go mad for the first few and then the last few are eaten in no more than 5 minutes but without the urgency the first few are eaten in. You need to learn to judge how many each time, it's better to offer a little extra, you can always cut back on the next feed.

Just make sure once the dragon is fully grown you don't allow it to get fat.

at 7 months theres still alot of growing to do they dont reach full maturity till there at least 18 months old i feed mine all they can eat in a 10 to 15 minute period twice a day dusted with calcium powder 0nce a day you can not overdose them on calcium powder. make sure that you leave the lighting on at least 1 hour after the last feed this helps aid the beardie in digesting the food

just feed whatever he will eat in the first 10 minutes or so, if on the next feed he shows little interest just put 1 or 2 in, then increase again next feed.
