My beardie is eating but not much. Hes in a 30x15x15 viv which is quite sparse so the crickets cant hide. I put 6/8 crix in the morning and the same in the afternoon but it takes him about 5 hours to eat them. Everyone i speak to says thiers used to or does eat about 50 a day. I feed med browns/blacks which are the distance between his eyes. Hes 7 weeks old and 7" T/L. I did read that a low appetite could be down to low temps but he doesnt spend much time in the basking spot (110*) anyway so he cant be too cold. He stays in the middle laying on his branch sunbathing under the uv. He can see the prey cos he watches them from the branch and every now and again will jump off and eat one then go back to sunbathing!
Is this normal do some beardies have a low appetite when their young or is there something wrong. He seems fine otherwise he is growing and passing stools which seem healthy (solid).
I dust the crix once a day with calcium supps and spray hime once every other day with warm water and theres fresh greens every other day which most of the time he never touches. Hes been like this since i had him 3 weeks ago.
Any ideas? Any help and advice would be appreciated
Thanks

he looks fine and healthy, so long as he's eating something you shouldn't have anything to worry about, some eat lots others a little less.

try feeding hoppers maybe your beardie is bored of crix, i had same problem with my beardies and swapped to hoppers and my beardies went mad for them i now alternate between crix and hoppers during the week and it has worked wonders apart from my bank balance i've now got 11 beardies that all can go through 25 large crix each a day. i now feed 1 day crix 2nd day veg 3rd day hoppers 4th crix etc but £30-40 food bill a week means happy beardies but sad bank balance lol good luck
