Im sure they would of filmed it in HD. The one a few years back "Blue Planet" was and most if not all BBC content is filmed in HD.

I dont see why they wouldnt to be honest, all new and slightly old television camera's can capture full HD so it would be a waste not to realise it on a HD format. You can even get a HD filming camera for about £150 so the big Pro ones should have no trouble with it.

Edit: They wont air it in HD yet because the BBC does not have a suitable service just now, it will by 2012 (the digital swtich over, but probably alot sooner before then) when some of the airwaves get free'd up.

I dont have SkyHD yet but the BBC is broadcasting its programs on the BBC HD then it should be on that too.

If anyone has a HD ready TV heres something you might find interesting I dug up about getting HDTV without having Sky.

No its feburary the 4th. It was confirmed on the jonathon ross friday night show.

so was I. I only found out on another forum, then watch the Jonnathon ross show on BBCI to confirm it.

He has a ball python and use to have an Iguana... tells on the show
