do fire bellied toads hibernate because one of mine is sitting on the bottom of the pond and i dont know if its hibernating or if its dead

i only got it a few days ago and i hope its not dead alread

can someone help ne plese Sad

By pond, do you mean water bowl?

What temps are you keeping it at.

If you're really worried, fish it out and see. They can sit underwater motionless for quite some time though.

sounds dead to me.They don't hibernate they just slow down as the temp drops but never should be motionless.

yeah its definetly dead

ive only had it about 4 days so i dont think that i had it long enough for it to be something i did

how deep was the water? I tendnot to let mine rise above an inch or two-certainly no more than the height the frog can reach when outstretched. If put in deep water,could it be that it drowned?
