Get yourself on Ebay and buy some leaf insects or stick insects. In no time they will be producing eggs, which you can then sell or swap.
Or, a praying mantis is a good idea, I have kept the Chinese mantids and they are very interesting. A lady sells the ootheca (egg cases) on Ebay again and they are really fun to hatch out but you need hundreds of cups to house the little ones, or you will be left with one big fat one!
Or how about a scorpion?

Might have trouble selling and swapping stick insects! I did anyway, we started off with 3 in quite a small ish container thing (About 12 x 14 x 8 inches- H x L x D), within about 6 months there were around 200 tiny stick insects! And we couldn't find anywhere to take them! Laughing
