I'm after some digital scales for weighing my geckos. I bought some kitchen scales form Argos before which are useless. I didn't really think about it, but they weigh up to 3kg so are pretty inaccurate at weighing small animals!
I think scales that weight up to MAX 200/500g would be better?
Can anyone recommend some decent digital scales for weighing geckos that won't break the bank . I had a quick look on ebay but can only find pocket scales _________________ Steve P |

Cheers Scott they look good, I think the pocket scales would be the only ones of use to me there. 0.1g - 300g is ideal, it's a shame the weighing surface isn't very big, but would probably work alright if the weighing container isn't too bulky.
Either that or I could train my geckos to sit VERY still _________________ Steve P |

I had some pocket scales and trust me they are useless.... You just want some digital ones, this set weights upto 5kg wich is ideal for the snakes as I can fit a container on the glass plate. (see below)
I got these bad boys from ebay.... but not the gecko lol.. these were 12 quid, there are plenty to choose from. You can chance the scale, kg, g, lb

Bah, I'll see how the pocket ones I ordered turn out.
Cheers guys, they look pretty decent. Maybe I just got a sh*t pair from Argos. I would put something that weighed ~10grams on the scales and it would read 2-3grams. I'd zero it again, put the object back on but push the scales down VERY lightly just to see what happened and then the object apprently weighs 18 grams!
Even if I put an object on the scales and then took it off, not once did the reading return to 0g! _________________ Steve P |

Got the scales today, very pleased with them. I weighed all of my adult leopard geckos no problems with use of a small plastic dish, thumbs up Perfect for geckos and small reptiles in general IMO
